How Far In Advance Should I Begin Dress Shopping?

In order to ensure you’re not rushed with your decision-making; we recommend 9-12 months in advance of your wedding date. This provides enough time for any potential alterations to your gown. Rush orders are available, but not every designer offers them. Keep in mind rush orders will have additional fees. We recommend alterations 2-3 months before your wedding.

Do I Need An Appointment?

Shopping from our exclusive bridal gown designer collections is by Appointment Only. To schedule a bridal gown consultation appointment, please see our Appointments page and select your 90-minutes preferred date/time slot using the calendar provided. All appointments are considered pending until they are confirmed/finalized via email. Prior to your appointment, a member from our team will reach out to reconfirm your details and prepare for your special wedding shopping experience.

A $50 non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve your date and time for your private bridal styling session appointment.

How Long Will My Appointment Be?

Our private fittings are scheduled for 90 minutes, but rest assured that if we run over, we will happily schedule another appointment with you.

Is There A Cancellation Policy?

We kindly ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 2 days before the beginning of your appointment. There will be a $50 fee for “no shows” or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance. Please call or text if you are going to be more than 10 minutes late for your appointment to avoid being a “no show”.

What If There Is A Gown That I Like From A Designer You Carry, But You Do Not Carry That Particular Sample?

While we can’t carry entire collections from each of our designers, we sometimes have the ability to request particular samples to be sent to us. Please contact us about requesting a particular gown in advance of your fitting and we can arrange to have it available at your fitting.

What Should I Expect Inside The Fitting Room?

In order not to damage the gowns, our stylist will join you in the fitting room to help you in and out of the gowns. You may wear whatever makes you comfortable underneath the gowns, but we do require underwear. Feel free to wear Spanx, or other shapewear. They are great for foundational support and help the gowns to slide right on.

When I Find My Dress, What Is The Process To Order?

We require full payment to place your order. Once your order is submitted, no changes or cancellations can be made since all orders are custom.

When Should I Choose My Veil And Accessories?

Accessories are the icing on the cake. Our stylists will pull together your whole look during your bridal gown appointment. Of course, you’re always welcomed back if you need more time to make your final decision. Keep in mind, some accessories are special order too, and while they don’t usually take as much time as a wedding gown, it can be several weeks.

Do You Offer Customized Gowns?

Depending on the style and designer, slight alterations can be made such as, adding sleeves, changing hemlines, revising neckline, etc., but most of our gowns are ordered true to the intention and design of the gown.

Do You Offer Alterations?

We do not offer in-house alterations at The Middleburg Bride, but have excellent preferred alteration specialists that we are happy to recommend to you.

How Many People Can I Bring To My Appointment?

We want our brides to be surrounded by their loved ones during their appointment and we believe that your fitting should be as intimate as possible to keep the focus on YOU, the bride. We ask to limit guests to 4 people. Please contact us if you have a larger group and we can discuss your unique needs directly. A great way to incorporate additional friends and family is hosting a virtual call!

Do I Need To Bring Anything To My Appointment?

We recommend you bring any undergarments (preferably nude colored) or shoes that you’re considering wearing on your wedding day, if applicable. Underwear is required to try on wedding dresses. We are also asking for mask wearing during portions of the fitting. We kindly request no food or drinks in the store to protect the dresses.

What Is A Trunk Show?

A trunk show is a limited period of time for brides to view additional styles from a particular designer outside of what The Middleburg Bride has in store. In some cases, there is special pricing available during the show. The gowns are typically in-store for a short weekend, so plan on having all of your decision-makers with you during this appointment.

Returns and Exchanges

Custom gowns, sample sale gowns, jewelry, and accessories are all final sale.
